With the financial environment as it is companies are finding it very difficult to compete in their respective markets and this can be due to many factors. Firstly there is the weakening pound, and then there is the monetary crisis and banks refusing loans to businesses. In addition to these factors there is also the issue of changing trends and notably internet sales being the favoured ordering method in retail.
As a result our company currently rents and sells water coolers and certain styles of drinking fountain within the UK and has recently inroduced an online shop selling the products. There are many processes that need to be perfected prior to commencing with the site ensuring that a customer has all of the information required to place an order without having to telephone the office. In addition there are the back end technical processes to put in place including databases, payments processes and how the information is relayed to our company when an order is placed.
All of the above processes do take time and it is in many cases a learning curve. This has started to become very succesful and we are finding that sales are increasing on a daily basis. We are selling a large number of both drinking water fountains and mains fed water coolers on a daily basis. These are then sent out by courier to the customer complete with an installation kit and optionla filter or self sanitisation kit. This is a very cost effective way for businesses to provide their staff with chilled and filtered drinking water
